DAY 1: giving thanks for who he is; he is good, loving and faithful

  1. BIBLE READING

Psalm 100

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.

2. LISTEN/WORSHIP

3. RE-READ THE SCRIPTURE

Read again - Psalm 100

4. REFLECT & ACT

Gratitude begins with who God is, not simply what he gives us.  God is good, loving and faithful in every season of our lives. This never changes throughout every generation.   Our response is to come to him with thanksgiving and praise.

ACTION
Write down 3 things about God's character that you are grateful for.

Father God, thank you that you are good, full of perfect love and faithful.
Help me to recognise your goodness today, whatever my circumstances. Amen
